Meet The Team


Justin Stiver, DPT, CSCS

Director of Rehab


Justin is a southwest Florida native, has lived in Sarasota County his entire life and is a graduate of Charlotte High School, class of 2002. He went on to play baseball for Florida Gulf Coast University and the University of Florida, and was selected in the 17th round of the 2006 Major League draft by the Houston Astros as a pitcher. After suffering a career-ending elbow injury that required extensive physical therapy, Justin’s passion for the field of physical therapy began. It was then that he decided to make a career out of helping others with their musculoskeletal impairments. He completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of St. Augustine in 2015 and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Titleist Performance Institute trained golf rehab specialist. Justin is also a husband to his lovely wife, Kim, and their spunky 2-year old daughter, Austyn. He enjoys fishing, freediving, and boating with his friends and family on the weekends.

Russ Rann, PTA

Osprey Clinic Director


Russ was born in Lansing, Michigan but has resided in Florida since 1974. He grew up in Sarasota and played football at Riverview High School. Russ is Total Therapy Florida’s longest running team member starting in January 2005. Russ began his career at Sarasota Memorial in 2001 after graduation from the Manatee Community College Physical Therapy Assistant program. Russ has set the pace at Total Therapy and is committed to excellent patient results and world-class service by treating every patient as an extension of his own family. He likes to stay active by fishing, weight-lifting, biking, swimming and playing with his two daughters and son. Russ is a member of the Ascension Lutheran church, in Sarasota, having been a parishioner for over 30 years.

Mark Smothermon, DPT, ATC

Physical Therapist


Mark earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine, completing his clinical rotations in Orthopaedic and Neurological Physical Therapy. Mark was born in Niles, Michigan and after the tragic events of September 11, enlisted in the Navy to serve as an air search and rescue swimmer and later as an aviation electrician. While at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Mark completed two tours with Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom aboard the flight deck of the naval carrier USS Enterprise. After six years of service, Mark obtained his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at the University of Tampa and became a board certified athletic trainer in June 2015. While working in sports medicine, Mark has logged over two thousand clinical hours with numerous high school and collegiate sports teams including football, volleyball, soccer, and men’s lacrosse–in addition to treating dancers and show performers at Busch Gardens. Mark is very focused on the needs of Veterans and is dedicated to helping local Veterans in our community. In his free time, he enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and spending time with his wife Jenni, and daughter Adalyn.

Alec Stiver

PTA


Alec has lived in the Sarasota County area his entire life. He graduated from Venice High School in 2010 playing on the State Championship baseball team. Alec went on to play baseball at the University of Montevallo in Alabama, however, suffered multiple wrist injuries leading to physical therapy becoming a large part of his everyday life. After his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in May 2015, Alec returned to Florida and completed the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Kaiser University in 2016. Alec joined Total Therapy Florida in January of 2017, is married to his beautiful wife Hannah and is a Dad to their son Beau. Alec enjoys spearfishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends, family, and dog Hank, in his spare time.

Maryanne Bolduc

Administrative Director


Maryanne has lived in the Venice/Nokomis area since her family relocated in 1973 from the Adirondacks. Her father was a local contractor for over 25 years. She and her husband Randy have 5 sons and 10 grandchildren. As the parents of a child with Asperger Syndrome, they are active in autism awareness and promoting early diagnosis. Maryanne is also extremely passionate about her family and the community and volunteers with the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life in memory of her mother and sister who were both stricken by breast cancer.Maryanne represents Total Therapy Florida as our member of the Osprey/Nokomis Chamber of Commerce and the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce.
