Karen Wiegandt

Karen is a graduate of St. Ambrose University (Masters in Physical Therapy) with 25+ years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy. Her training is extensive in the area of manual therapy, including but not limited to, Maitland, Paris, Mulligan, and Butler. Karen worked on site as Head of Performance Medicine for Cirque du Soleil, La Nouba in Orlando, FL, with pilates, strength and conditioning, worker’s compensation, prevention, and education of the artists. She has additional certifications and education in the areas of strength and conditioning, personal training, health coaching, yoga, and pilates. Her undergraduate education from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, BAT(Bachelor in Athletic Training), has been integral with her extensive work with professional athletes, artists (musicians, dancers, aerial arts), high school athletes, and weekend warriors. Karen continues to be an avid competitor in the sport of rowing. She is 7x World Champion and 12x National Champion in Masters rowing. She continues to compete internationally and can be found several (very early) mornings a week on the ICW or at Nathan Benderson Park, supporting her next goal. Her interests are additionally in sports, gardening, and dog rescue.
